Trumpeter Pacho Flores Joins Kirshbaum Associates Roster

Kirshbaum Associates Inc. is thrilled to announce the North American representation of Deutsche Grammophon recording artist, trumpeter Francisco “Pacho” Flores.

A product of the ground-breaking Venezuelan System of Youth and Children Orchestras (El Sistema), Mr. Flores has taken first-prize at the Maurice André, Philip Jones and Citta di Porcia International Competitions.

As a soloist, he has performed with the Simón Bolívar Orchestra of Venezuela, the Tokyo and NHK Symphonies, Kiev and Osaka Philharmonics, St. Petersburg Camerata, Orchestré de la Garde Républicaine and Ensemble Orchestralde Paris under conductors such as Sir Simon Rattle, Seiji Ozawa, and Gustavo Dudamel.

In recital, he has performed at venues such as New York’s Carnegie Hall, Paris’s Salle Pleyel and Tokyo’s Opera City. A founding member of the Venezuelan Simón Bolívar Brass Quintet, he has toured with the group extensively in the United States, Europe, South America and Japan.

A Stomvi artist equally at home in folk and classical styles, his repertoire includes commissions and premieres of works by composers such as Roger Boutry, Efraín Oscher, Giancarlo Castro, Santiago Báez, Juan Carlos Nuñez and Sergio Bernal.

A founding director of the Latin American Trumpet Academy in Caracas, he mentors young musicians and is a frequent guest at conservatories throughout the world.
