2022-23 Season Preview

With an international, intergenerational roster of world-renowned artists, the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center will present 41 concerts this season, with music from the 1700s to the present moment, including world premieres from Zosha di Castri and James Lee III as well as the annual Baroque Festival in December, Schubert in February and the last New York series of the Emerson String Quartet.

Concerts take place in Alice Tully Hall (ATH), Rose Studio (RS) and Stanley H. Kaplan Penthouse (KP).

VIOLINIST PAUL HUANG AND PIANIST ANNE-MARIE MCDERMOTT IN RECITAL
Repertoire by Arvo Pärt and John Corigliano, as well as Prokofiev’s dark and brooding Sonata No. 1, which he wrote between 1938 and 1946, and Mozart’s Sonata in F major, composed in 1781 and ultimately part of a collection with five other sonatas.

EMERSON DIMENSIONS I, II AND II

The legendary quartet in its final New York concert series, performing the repertoire for which it is most famous and a world premiere by Sarah Kirkland Snider. Over three concerts, The Emerson traverses some of the greatest quartets in the classical canon, from the 17th to the 20th centuries.
