In this Tiny Rock Concert, Festival guest artist Anthony McGill (Principal Clarinet for the New York Philharmonic) performs selections from Georg Philipp Telemann's 12 Fantasias for Flute, transcribed for clarinet. Tiny Rock Concerts are produced by the Colorado Music Festival and take place at Chautauqua Park against a backdrop of Boulder's beautiful Flatirons.
This Tiny Rock Concert features the Vera Quartet, comprised of four of our 2022 Festival Fellows: Kate Arndt (violin), Byungchan Lee (violin); Grace Takeda (viola); and Justin Goldsmith (cello). The Vera Quartet performs the first and third movements of Joseph Haydn's Op. 33, No. 5 (and "be prepared for some silliness," warns Goldsmith).
