The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center presents and expanded ninth season of Summer Evenings -- six concerts featuring artists from CMS's international, intergenerational roster in programs of chamber music masterworks.

Each concert this summer includes a work by Mozart, and each program is brought to a rousing finish with an especially beloved work (mostly quintets) performed by CMS's outstanding artists, giving audiences a chance to experience these works anew. Audiences will also have the opportunity to hear five of the extraordinary young artists who are members of the incoming CMS Bowers Program -- pianists Evren Ozel and Anna Geniushene, oboist Juri Vallentin, violinist Lun Li and cellist Sterling Elliott.

With the last two years of Summer Evenings concerts selling out, this season’s offerings have been expanded by 50 percent, from four to six concerts, taking place July 9, 13, 16, 20, 23, and 27, with all tickets just $20. Tickets include a free post-concert wine reception with the artists in the lobby (sponsored by Somm Cellars) for the entire audience.

To make the concerts as accessible as possible to a large and varied audience, CMS is once again offering all tickets at $20 as well as 100 free tickets per performance via public lottery in partnership with TodayTix; the lottery for each concert opens two weeks before the performance date.

“Summer is the perfect time to luxuriate in great performances of beloved chamber music masterworks performed by world-class musicians in the beautiful acoustics and air conditioning of Alice Tully Hall,"  said CMS executive director Suzanne Davidson. "This is the second year in a row that we've expanded the number of Summer Evenings concerts due to sell-out performances, so get your tickets early and join us for a free wine reception—with the musicians—after the concert. We look forward to seeing you in July."
