Kelley O'Connor and Peter Oundjian Join Kirshbaum Associates

We are thrilled to announce the additions of mezzo-soprano Kelley O'Connor and conductor Peter Oundjian to the Kirshbaum Associates roster for worldwide representation. 

The Grammy® Award-winning mezzo-soprano Kelley O’Connor is one of the most compelling vocal artists of her generation. O’Connor performs and inhabits a broad selection of repertoire, from Beethoven, Mahler and Brahms to Dessner, Corigliano and Adams (who wrote the title role of The Gospel According to the Other Mary for her); she is sought after by many of today’s most accomplished composers. She performs with leading orchestras and conductors around the world, with preeminent artists in recitals and chamber music, and with highly acclaimed opera companies in the U.S. and abroad.

In the 2023-2024 season, O’Connor performs with the Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Omaha, San Francisco, and Oregon Symphonies, and the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra. Chamber music concerts include collaborations with the New Century Chamber Orchestra and recitals with pianists Myra Huang and Robert Spano.

A dynamic presence in the conducting world, Peter Oundjian is renowned for his vibrant collaborative spirit and engaging musicality. His musical career spans five decades, beginning as a solo violinist and first violinist of the Tokyo String Quartet, followed by an international conducting career leading preeminent orchestras in many of the world's major musical centers.

He is currently Principal Conductor of the Colorado Symphony and Music Director of the Colorado Music Festival (CMF), following his 14-year tenure as Music Director of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, which concluded in 2018. From 2012-2018, Oundjian served as Music Director of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. Oundjian has been a visiting professor at Yale University’s School of Music since 1981.

After opening the 2023-2024 season in Denver, Oundjian will return to Seattle, Dallas, Toronto, and Sarasota. His season culminates with a Carnegie Hall concert in the spring with students from the Royal Conservatory in Toronto.
