In 2026-2027, the acclaimed Danish String Quartet return to North America for summer festival appearances and an extensive 3-week tour in February 2027. 

Summer performances include Tanglewood, Ravinia, Aspen, Colorado Music Festival, Maverick Concerts, and Cape Cod Chamber Music Festival. Their 14-city tour in February includes a performance at Carnegie Hall as well as DACAMERA of Houston, Cal Performances, UC Santa Barbara Arts & Lectures, the Ladies’ Morning Musical Club of Montreal, Friends of Chamber Music Denver, and the Meany Center for the Performing Arts in Seattle.

The tour programs feature Gabriella Smith’s Carrot Revolution (2015), which takes its title from a Paul Cézanne quote, alongside quartets by Beethoven, Mozart, Ravel, and Shostakovich, as well as the Danish String Quartet’s celebrated arrangements of traditional Nordic folk tunes and original compositions.

Long admired for their adventurous programming, technical brilliance, and uniquely collaborative spirit, the Danish String Quartet continue to bring fresh perspective to both the classical canon and the folk traditions that have become an essential part of the ensemble’s artistic identity.
