Pavel Haas Quartet joins Kirshbaum Associates for North American Representation

"They represent the best qualities of the Czech tradition –
warmth, sonorousness, individuality, intensity."
– Gramophone

The Pavel Haas Quartet is revered across the globe for its richness of timbre, infectious passion and intuitive rapport. Performing at the world’s most prestigious concert halls and having won five Gramophone and numerous other awards for their recordings, the Quartet is firmly established as one of the world’s foremost chamber ensembles. The venerable BBC Music Magazine has ranked the Pavel Haas Quartet among the 10 greatest string quartets of all time, alongside the Alban Berg Quartet, Amadeus Quartet, Borodin Quartet and other stellar ensembles.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, the Pavel Haas Quartet has just released Brahms: Quintets Op. 34 & 111 for the Supraphon label, featuring pianist Boris Giltburg, winner of the 2013 Queen Elisabeth Competition.

"The way they lean into every note is the same approach I take in my solo playing," says Giltburg. "Very often you just have to find a way into how a quartet works and quickly put something together. With them it’s different; I feel very much part of the group. They’re just such warm and lovely people."

The Quartet is featured on the cover of the June issue of The StradClick here to read the article and watch a trailer for the new album below:
